Deutschlandticket

• The Deutschlandticket is a monthly pass that can be purchased at the start of any month.
• The pass can be canceled at any time.
• The Deutschlandticket allows you to use all forms of public transportation in Germany.
• It is not valid on Deutsche Bahn long-distance trains (ICE, IC, EC), FlixTrain, long-distance buses (e.g., FlixBus), or on transportation services operated primarily for tourist or historical purposes.

• The Deutschlandticket costs 63 euros per month.
• It can be canceled at any time.

• You can buy the Deutschlandticket in the NVV app.
  • That way, you’ll have it right on your smartphone.
• Otherwise, you can order it online through the NVV Abocenter or directly in person at NVV customer service centers.

In the NVV app:

• Open the NVV app.
• Select your Deutschlandticket.
• Tap “Edit” at the bottom.
• In the next step, tap “Cancel subscription.”
• Confirm the cancellation by tapping the “Confirm cancellation” button.

If you received the Deutschlandticket through KVG, you can cancel it as follows:

• Online in the KVG NVV Subscription Center under “Manage Subscription”
• In the KVG app
• In person at the customer service center
• By mail to the following address:

Please note:

• You can only cancel the Deutschlandticket with the contract partner from whom you purchased it.
• You can cancel the Deutschlandticket by the 10th day of the month, and the cancellation will take effect at the end of that same month.
• Please cancel tickets on your mobile phone via the respective app.
• Tickets on chip cards issued by the Kasseler Verkehrsgesellschaft (KVG) can be canceled by mail or at the customer service center. Please provide your contract number when doing so.

• The Deutschlandticket can be ordered via our NVV app, online at the NVV-Abocenter of the KVG or in person  at NVV customer centres.

• Your existing Deutschlandticket subscription with another provider must be cancelled by the 10th of the current month before you can take out a new subscription via the NVV app.

• The Deutschlandticket is valid nationwide in second class on local public transportation, meaning on all buses, local trains, trams, and regional express services.
• It is not valid on Deutsche Bahn long-distance trains (ICE, IC, EC), on FlixTrain, or on long-distance buses (FlixBus).
• Also excluded are modes of transportation that are primarily operated for tourist or historical purposes.

• With the Deutschlandticket, you cannot travel in first class nationwide.
• Within the NVV network, first class is available when combined with a supplement ticket under the NVV fare. Outside the NVV network, different rules may apply. Please check with local transit companies and networks for details.

• The Deutschlandticket is offered as a subscription that can be canceled on a monthly basis. It is valid 24 hours a day, every day, with no exceptions (24/7).

• No, the Deutschlandticket is not transferable to other people.
• It is non-transferable and valid only when presented with a photo ID.

• Under the “Customer Guarantee,” a refund is also granted for the Deutschlandticket in the event of delays or cancellations (1 euro per trip).
• This applies only if both the starting point and destination of the delayed trip are within the NVV area.
• The refund amount is limited to 25 euros per month.

• Yes. Depending on the AST line (shared taxi), you must pay an AST surcharge of 1 euro.

• The Deutschlandticket is stored on servers in Germany.
• All data regarding users, invoices, and payments is also stored on servers in Germany.
• This data is stored in accordance with European Union laws.

• The Deutschlandticket does not allow you to take your bicycle with you free of charge throughout Germany. Bicycles can be taken along free of charge within the NVV area. Other regulations may apply outside the NVV. Please contact your local transport companies and associations for more information.

• The Deutschlandticket does not allow dogs to be transported free of charge nationwide.  
• In the NVV area, dogs can be transported free of charge.  Outside the NVV, other regulations may apply.

• The Deutschlandticket is personal and non-transferable. No other persons may travel with you. Exception: Nationwide, children under the age of 6 travel free of charge. In the NVV area, children under the age of 7 who are not yet in school travel free of charge. There is no limit to the number of these children.

• Nationwide, children under the age of 6 travel free of charge. In the NVV area, children under the age of 7 who are not yet in school travel free of charge. Older children or adults require a ticket at the applicable fare.
