Please note:
- You can only cancel the Deutschlandticket with the contract partner from whom you purchased it.
- You can cancel the Deutschlandticket by the 10th day of the month, and the cancellation will take effect at the end of that same month.
- Please cancel tickets on your mobile phone via the respective app.
- Tickets on chip cards issued by the Kasseler Verkehrsgesellschaft (KVG) can be canceled by mail or at the customer service center. Please provide your contract number when doing so.
Buy and manage in the NVV app
Ticket purchase
- The Deutschlandticket can be ordered via our NVV app, online at the NVV-Abocenter of the KVG or in person at NVV customer centres.
- Your existing Deutschlandticket subscription with another provider must be cancelled by the 10th of the current month before you can take out a new subscription via the NVV app.

Validity & conditions of use
- The Deutschlandticket is valid nationwide in second class on local public transportation, meaning on all buses, local trains, trams, and regional express services.
- It is not valid on Deutsche Bahn long-distance trains (ICE, IC, EC), on FlixTrain, or on long-distance buses (FlixBus).
- Also excluded are modes of transportation that are primarily operated for tourist or historical purposes.
- With the Deutschlandticket, you cannot travel in first class nationwide.
- Within the NVV network, first class is available when combined with a supplement ticket under the NVV fare. Outside the NVV network, different rules may apply. Please check with local transit companies and networks for details.
- The Deutschlandticket is offered as a subscription that can be canceled on a monthly basis. It is valid 24 hours a day, every day, with no exceptions (24/7).
