Assessment of potential for reactivating lines
The NVV plans to improve local rail transport services in the network area.
Potential supply and infrastructure measures are being examined. As a first step, the NVV transport model was used to conduct a preliminary assessment of demand potential (e.g. for reactivation projects) in order to estimate whether a measure would have such a significant transport benefit that it would have a cost-benefit ratio of over 1.0 according to the 2016+ standardised assessment, thereby fulfilling a prerequisite for federal funding under the GVFG.
